Winterhawks Weekly: Two-Faced

The Winterhawks were home for both games, and both games were wild, though not always for the right reasons.  The Winterhawks opened the week with a 6-2 loss against Tri-City, in which Brian Williams notched a hat trick and Brendan Burke was chased after the second period.  Alex Schoenborn and Taylor Leier scored for the Winterhawks.  Saturday's tilt against Seattle bore better results, as they paid the Thunderbirds back and then some for the previous game in a 10-4 laugher.  Oliver Bjorkstrand scored four goals and Burke rebounded for the win.

The Winterhawks play Wednesday against Spokane before hitting the road for back-to-back games at Kelowna.  The defense is young and they will make their share of mistakes.  However, Burke hasn't been at the top of his game to this point, but given time, he will be better and the Winterhawks can score in bunches at almost any time.  However, Spokane and Kelowna provide stiff tests, with Spokane scoring at a ridiculous rate and Kelowna a favorite to walk away with their second straight B.C. Division crown.
