As the hockey season winds down and the awards and NHL draft loom, there is another sport that will take over headlines this month in the Euro 2012 tournament. It actually began yesterday, so to get you up to speed, Group A saw Poland and Greece tie 1-1 and Russia blow out the Czech Republic 4-1. Group B sees Denmark looking for an upset of the Netherlands (as of this moment) and Germany take on Portugal in what is termed "the Group of Death." Group C has Ireland, Croatia, Italy, and the defending champions (both the Euro and World Cup tournaments) Spain and Group D has France, Ukraine, Sweden, and England.
I'll break down each group in subsequent pieces, but for now, you are all caught up on Euro 2012.
